"In Service to the Community"

The Department's Traffic Division has been expanded to three enforcement officers. Officer Michael Page is the senior member of the Division. Officer Gary LeBrun and Barry Driscoll were added in January of 2011 and bring a wide variety of police experience to the Division.

Officer Michael Page is also the City of Salem Licensing Authority for Vehicles For Hire (taxis, limousines, trolleys,  pedi cabs, etc). Officer Page investigates Vehicle for Hire Operator applicants as well as complaints against these business. He reports to the City Council and makes recommendations to the Council concerning Vehicles for Hire, as well as parking and traffic issues.
