From Rte. 95/128/114

Route 95 or 128 to Route 114 (East). Follow signs into Salem (North Street). Over a double lane overpass. North Street becomes Summer Street at a 4-way intersection with a traffic light (Jerry’s Army & Navy Store is on the left, the Salem Witch House is on the right). Continue straight through the intersection on Rte. 114. One block after the traffic light turn left with Rte. 114 onto Norman Street (MiddleOak Insurance will be on the right). Continue straight for two blocks, passing Verizon Telephone on the right, then the side of the Salem Post Office building. Turn right on the one way (Margin Street) passing directly in front of the Post Office (no longer on Rte. 114 – do not enter the large intersection with traffic lights). The police station is straight ahead about ¼ mile.

From Rte. 1A

Follow Rte. 1A North into Salem (Loring Avenue). The road will make a sharp curve left. On the left will be the Salem State College South Campus. Continue on Rte. 1A until the road divides into three lanes at a traffic light controlled intersection. Get into the left turn lane and turn left onto Jefferson Avenue. Follow Jefferson Avenue for approximately 1.4 miles (landmarks include St. Anne’s Church on the left, Shaughnessy/Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital on the left, Kerr Leather on the right, U-Haul on the right and the Salem D.P.W. on the right). The Police station is the second building on the right after the D.P.W.

From Rte. 107

Follow Rte. 107 North into Salem (Highland Avenue). The road is a divided highway. After the divided highway section ends landmarks include North Shore Medical Center and then the Collins Middle School, both on the right. Turn (immediate) right onto Jackson Street at the traffic light after the Middle School. Follow Jackson Street to the end. Turn left onto Jefferson Avenue. The Police station is about 100 yards on the right.

 PARKING:

Short term visitor and any handicapped parking are in front of the station. Long term and student parking is behind the station. DO NOT park in a numbered or marked parking space on either side of the building.

Prisoner sally ports are doors 47 and 48 on the left side of the building. BAPERN 2 (North) is monitored by dispatchers.
